Hello!
We have been brainstorming/working like crazy and will be restocking sold out shades and releasing new shades very soon!
Here's a sneak peek at two shades for Fall/Winter.
Harbourfront Skate Night is our first black and our first flakie lacquer! There's a ton of subtly shifting flakies of all shades, and just a hint of white microglitter - like the reflection of stars on the black ice! We are so in love with this for winter.
Next we have an awesome glitter topper. This is Yorkville Splurge - a unique combination of matte white and blue hexes, copper hexes, rose gold squares and a good dose of holo dust. We've layered it over a smokey grey that we're working on (more on that to come!) and then over plain black.
Treat yo'self to this one!
Rather than releasing all 6 shades at once we will be trickling them out. Nuit Blanche All Nighter was the first release and is available here.
Look out for tons more stuff from us soon!

CANVAS lacquer Release - GIRL GANG TRIO
Hello!
One of the reasons I've been so busy the past week was because we were making batches of our latest collection!
The Girl Gang Trio is a capsule collection we created inspired by the strength of so many awesome women we know and admire.
Flaunt It! is a gorgeous nude/champagne lacquer with a beautiful holographic glow and golden shimmer. Perfect for both the conservative and the sassy.
Blood Sisters is a vampy, blackened bloody plum crelly with the opacity
of a creme but the glossiness of a jelly. An edgy shade that's right on
trend.

This one almost got away...
Hello!
Sometimes life just starts racing around you and you almost forget to post a mani!
This is a little quickie I did using holographics and playing with the Pueen Encore plates.
I started with Darling Diva Killer Queen on my thumb, middle and ring finger. Index and pinky are Darling Diva We Will Rock You. They're both really pretty shifty holos.
I got curious and wanted to see how the holo flame would play if I added more holo to the tips. Hands down, the strongest linear holos in my collection are the Layla's. On the thumb, middle and ring I added Ultra Violet to the tips, and Emerald Divine to my index and pinky. The effect is subtle but I like it.
I stamped with images from Pueen plate 02A and nOPI Positive Energy. This was also another chance for me to play with my new squishy stamper, and I gotta say I don't know if I'm head over heels. I love how much the images wrap around the nail and get into my cuticles and cover my tips, but I'm still struggling to get image pick ups as clean and crisp and whole as my harder Konad stamper. Do I need even more priming? I'm afraid to go too far!

We've Been Busy!
Hello!
We've had some custom orders in the last couple weeks that have been a lot of fun for us. Making bespoke polish is so satisfying for us!
First off, a set of minis for a blushing bride, Brttany. She had the brilliant idea of calling if Breakfast at Brittany's, since the shade is very reminiscent of that famous Tiffany blue. She's including one each into a goodie bag for her bridal party. Awesome idea right?!?
Next, we had 2 requests from a customer. One for a cranberry base with silver and grey flecks, and a cat inspired polish. The second was a bit challenging, but that's what makes custom lacquer so amazing! There's been so much positive feedback - get your own by contacting us!
If you've got a dream polish you're dying to create, hit us up!

BIG THANKS from CANVAS lacquer
Hello!
It's a little late, I know - but thank you so much to everyone that came out to support us last weekend at Big on Bloor. There were some challenges, but we got through it, and overall it was a great experience.
Here are some highlights:
Tuna, in prep mode:
We split a table with my super talented lil sis Tina. She also does our graphics.
...and a closer look at our display.
FYI - Our best seller was Cherry Blossoms in High Park.
See you next year!

Surreal Garden with Dragonflies
Hello!
Today's look could have been two separate manis. I wasn't sure what I was doing exactly when I started, and even though I'm happy with both looks, they don't seem that cohesive.
I started off with a base of piCture pOlish Atomic. Some of you must be sick of hearing what I use as a base since it seems it always gets covered up anyway! I'm often intending for some of the qualities of the base polish to shine though, but it rarely turns out that way.
On my thumb, index and middle finger I used a combination of sponging and dry brush technique for this ethereal look. Polishes are Misa Lash Out, Motives Tahiti Surf, Misa Let's Go Green, and Elevation Polish Wuyi Mountain. On my ring and pinky, with the same techniques, I used Duri What a Keeper, Elevation Polish El Cap, Cirque Vaudeville and Cadillacquer Pinkman.
The grass is from Vivid Lacquer plate 14 and the dragonflies and stars are from plate 19. The flowers are from Konad plate m53. I love the surreal garden, and the whimsical dragonflies, but they don't necessarily work together do they? What do you think?
Bonus macro to show off some shimmer:

Pretty Shimmering Pie Floral
Hello!
After making a conscious decision to use more holos, I've now decided I need to give more of my shimmers some shine.
I used Elevation Polish Limestone as my base. In the macro below you can see hints of the gold flakes shine through the gradient. The 'pie' gradient is made up of Elevation Polish El Cap (bluish purple), Duri Showstopper (pink) and Misa Let's Go Green (green, duh).
The flower image is from Bundle Monster 220 and I used OPI Eurso Euro and Live.Love.Carnival.
...and here's a bonus macro that our Instagram followers seemed to enjoy.

Cherry Blossoms in High Park, Swatch Preview
Hello!
I teased with a bottle shot last week, and now here's our swatch!
This white crelly is shown at 2 layers over plain white (Sally Hansen White On). We absolutely love this combination of red/coral dots, pink and white matte hex, a mix of iridescent glitters and a sprinkle of dark brown cherry wood hex in two sizes.
This will be available next week at our Etsy store and is the first release from out CANVAS the City Collection, inspired by summer in Toronto.

Sneak Peek! CANVAS the City
Hello, hello!
I'm ecstatic about showing you guys a sneak peek at two shades from our upcoming CANVAS the City Collection, lacquers inspired by our love of Toronto! We will be releasing them in 2 parts at our Etsy store, starting the first week of May.
First up is a beautiful spring green crelly with fine silver holo glitters and just a hint of holo shimmer. This lacquer really reminds us of all the vintage shades of green you'll find all over the antique shops in The Junction.
Next up is a lacquer inspired by one of our favourite Toronto events, the cherry blossom bloom of High Park. It's a milky base with cherry dots, matte pink hex, a variety of white hex and a sprinkling of brown cherry wood glitters.
Anita over at Intense Polish Therapy got an early look and sent us these amazing swatches.
Thanks again, Anita!
Look for CANVAS the City in early May.
